Postfinance Arena Bern (CH)
After years of intese restructuring work, Postfinance Arena re-opens in Bern.
Postfinance Arena is one of the largest hockey-on-ice rings in Central Europe, with a capacity of about 17.000 visitors and where the hockey-on-ice world championships, IIHF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2009, were held. For the restructuring of Postfinance Arena, engo S.r.l. supplied and assembled, through HRS Real Estate AG, a total of 3 applications of boards.
The premium model engoSPOND OLYMPIC® was chosen for the arena, already used in various championships and for the XX Winter Olympic Games 2006 held in Turin.
The solid system engoSPOND CLASSIC® was chosen for the training area, distinguished for its extreme and extraordinary solidity, making it particularly suitable for use during training, where the boards are subject to particularly intense stress.
For the external ice rink, 60.0 x 45.0 m, a board with seats has been installed, of stable structure and model, suitable for welcoming visitors. The covering of the boards with polyester reinforced fibreglass (PRFV) chosen for the external area proved to be an excellent choice.
engo would like to take this occasion to thank HRS Real Estate AG and, in particular, Mr. André Baumann and Mr. Phillip Kaser, for the faultless and pleasant collaboration.
