45 years of Engo

Engo has been developing and producing high-quality products for ice sports for more than 45 years. Since then, the performance and quality of the various models of electric ice resurfacing machines and innovative, flexible board systems have been continuously developed and expanded. This success story originally began in Terenten in the Puster Valley. In 2018, the company was taken over by the TechnoAlpin Group and the company headquarters were relocated to Vahrn. Engo products set standards in terms of application safety, innovative technology and ease of use. Ice stadiums around the world, international ice sports events and even the Olympic Games rely on the quality of Engo products and value their adaptability to individual customer wishes and their needs.

Milestones

Since 1979 Engo has been an integral partner within the ice sports community. From the first full electric ice resurfacer, the Engo Elettra ME-125 to the first dasher boards made from steel and GRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic). Engo has been a pioneer in terms of innovation of electric power in ice sports and security. Our FlexBoard PPS has also been making the sport of ice hockey safer through a flexible construction.

Automation

Collaboration of human and machine

Our products are produced with a semi-automatic process. Engo branded dasher boards are assembled by our production staff with the help of a CNC-robot to provide a fast and efficient project timeline. Every element can be adapted to the required specifications without sacrificing valuable time in the project execution.

Our ice resurfacers are assembled in a 6-step process with some prefabricated components that are tested before and after completion of the machine to guarantee a high-quality product.

In the last few years, we have been able to adapt and innovate the existing battery technology and further optimize the use of our products. Our ice resurfacers are equipped with lithium-ion batteries of the latest generation and offer all advantages of electric power on the ice. Our range of ice processing machines has been expanded to include a new member, the IcePanther. This model sets new standards in terms of design, innovation and sustainability and offers many new features, such as an innovative LED advertising option, the ability to measure ice thickness and much more. The new „FlexBoard 2.0 PPS“ boarding system is also a further development or new development of the PPS boarding system, which enables further advertising opportunities for ice rinks thanks to modern LED surfaces and at the same time offers the highest and optimum protection for the ice hockey players.
